MVP's mobile application Gia was developed to give their users a better experience and to offer new functionality.

MVP Health Care

Project Background
As a Lead UX Designer, I had the opportunity to work as a consultant for MVP Health Care through DMI. My primary focus was designing their new mobile application. During my time there, MVP was undergoing an exciting digital transformation, which involved the development of a brand-new mobile application. This innovative app allowed users to conveniently view their claims, track progress on deductibles and limits, access insurance cards, and even utilize virtual care services.
As the team lead, I successfully guided both the development and design teams through several sprints, ensuring seamless collaboration. Working closely with business stakeholders, I actively participated in identifying project goals and devising effective solutions to address them. I became involved in the project after the completion of a comprehensive discovery and research phase. Leveraging the valuable insights from ample user research and aligning with the business's vision, we managed to craft a well-rounded design that precisely met the project's objectives.

The Problem
MVP's previous application faced criticism from users due to its poor performance and clunky user experience. With limited useful functions and intermittent performance, it was clear that a complete overhaul was necessary. To address these issues and meet the growing demand for virtual care, our team from DMI took on the challenge of redesigning the application from scratch. This redesign was particularly timely, given the importance of virtual care coverage during the Covid pandemic. Our goal was to create an intuitive and seamless user experience, ensuring the application would now be well-equipped to handle the demands of the users, especially during these challenging times.

Visual Design
Gia Mobile Application
The visual design of the user interface provides access to insurance cards, claim status checking, and virtual care services should focus on simplicity and ease of use. A clean and intuitive interface with a calming color scheme and readable typography will create a user-friendly experience. Prioritizing essential features on the home screen and using card-based design for insurance cards will ensure critical information is easily accessible. Seamless video call interfaces for virtual care, along with clear security assurances, enhance user trust. Responsive design for various devices and thoughtful error handling further contribute to a smooth and reliable user experience. Regular user testing and iterative improvements help refine the application's visual design to align with user needs effectively.
